AmpIn Energy to supply power to JK Cement

AmpIn Energy Transition has announced that it has started supplying 10MWp of solar energy to JK Cement. As per the notification, the company is supplying power from its 30 MWp solar power plant which is situated in Mishrikh, Uttar Pradesh to JK Cement’s Aligarh facility. The company recently commissioned its Mishrikh solar PV plant.

With the solar offtake of 10 MWp, JK Cement will take its share of total renewable energy to over 60 per cent for its Aligarh unit. This will further help in reducing carbon emissions by over 10,780 tonnes per year. Presently, Ampin Energy has a portfolio of 300 MWp of solar projects spread across seven locations in Uttar Pradesh with a total investment of Rs 13.37 billion, of which 120 MWp are operational and 180 MWp are in the advanced stages of implementation. Recently, in August 2023, Ampln Energy announced that it inked a 25-year power purchase agreement with Jamshedpur Continuous Annealing and Processing Company Private Limited. According to the notification, Ampln Energy Transition will supply 2.8 MWp solar power for its Jamshedpur plant.
